Accountability Report of CTB 2016

Assalamu’alaikum Warrahmatullahi Wabarrakatuh, best wishes to all of our Lebah friends.

Exactly one week ago, we started the year of 2016 by organizing our regular annual program, Cerdas Tanpa Batas at Kampung Rancecet, Desa Rancapinang, Kecamatan Cimanggu, Kabupaten Pandeglang, Banten. Eventhough the main program was held on Saturday, January 9, 2016, but the supporting activities have started since Friday night. We gathered people of Rancecet at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Al-Huda, and we disseminated information on tsunami mitigation by showing video and slide show presentation. At the end of the session, we distributed the hard copy of presentation materials to all people who attended. Afterwards, we showed an Indonesian movie called Lima Elang. This movie taught children about friendship, courage, teamwork and tolerance.

On Saturday, January 9, 2016, we launched Rumah Ilmu Lebah (RIL) Al-Huda. The chief village of Rancapinang and Chairman of Lebah officially announced the opening of RIL Al Huda. We gave 879 book titles with the total of 914 books. We also gave a number of educative toys and books to PAUD Erjeruk that is also included in the area of Rancapinang village.

After the launching of RIL, we held activities with the children. We split the activity into two big groups, based on their age, i.e. 25 students in the age group of 5 – 7 years old, and 65 students in the age group of 8 – 12 years old. For the 5 – 7 years old, we asked them to color pictures and sing Indonesian children song. While for the other group, we had an art creativity session by turning used plastic bottles into useful things. This program is ended by a story telling given by Kak Budi.

Each student receives a school bag contains of complete uniform, socks, bath towel, school stationeries (pencil case, pens, pencils, ruler, pencil sharpener), writing books, drawing book, crayon and a bundle contains of three comics on tsunami, climate change and beach preservation, plus bread and chocolate milk.

Once again, we really appreciate your contribution and the trust you have granted us to organize this event, particularly to Bapak Robih from Polsek Cimanggu who has helped us starting from the survey to paperworks we should submit in order to obtain the permit from authorities, Bapak Fathony as the Headmaster of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Al-Huda, all of Lebah friends, Coffee War as our drop book point, PT Media Satu, Taft Diesel Indonesia Jakarta Raya that supports the transportation to go to the location, and definitely, our Beezers who are always ready to give their hands, sacrificing their times and energy just to make sure that everything would go as planned.
